1.       Utilize contemporary models of bereavement to intervene with individuals, couples, and families

2.       Develop a counseling plan for anticipatory grief with patients and families

3.       Describe five complicating factors in grief and use effective interventions with each

4.       Assess for complicated bereavement and make a plan to intervene

5.       Use effective counseling strategies with bereaved children and teens

6.       Describe cultural components of bereavement and use a simple assessment strategy to provide effective care
